A New Look for Bluebird Equine Therapeutic Ranch: Our New Website and Branding Are Here

Celebrating a refreshed brand, a redesigned website, and a renewed commitment to helping children, veterans, and families find connection, healing, and hope through horses, animals, and nature.

Bluebird Equine Therapeutic Ranch is proud to announce the launch of our newly updated website, along with a refreshed logo and brand identity that better reflect who we are, who we serve, and the heart behind our mission.

Our new website was designed to make it easier for families, veterans, community partners, supporters, and anyone interested in the ranch to learn about our work, meet our team, explore our programs, and discover ways to get involved.

More importantly, it tells the story of Bluebird.

Healing Through Horses, Nature, and Connection

At Bluebird Equine Therapeutic Ranch, we believe there is something powerful about stepping away from the noise of everyday life and reconnecting with horses, animals, nature, and other people.

Located in Central Texas on more than 57 acres, Bluebird provides a peaceful ranch environment where participants can slow down, feel supported, build trust, and experience meaningful connection.

Our focus is not simply on riding horses. The experience can include spending time with horses, grooming, feeding, learning basic horse care, guided interaction, ranch activities, gardening, and riding when appropriate.

Beginners can start slowly with an introduction to the horses and ranch environment. As participants become more comfortable and experienced, additional activities may become part of their time at Bluebird.

Horse activities are guided by experienced professionals, while therapeutic services are provided by qualified clinicians. Each experience is approached with the individual in mind.

Visitors can learn more about the philosophy behind the ranch on our About Us page and explore the experiences available through our Programs page.

“I wanted Bluebird to be a place where people can put the noise down for a while, connect with an animal, and remember what it feels like to have hope again.”
Teah Pearson, MS, Founder

Why Places Like Bluebird Matter

The need for supportive environments for children, families, and veterans is significant.

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, nearly 1 in 5 children ages 3 to 17 had been diagnosed at some point with a mental, emotional, or behavioral health condition based on national data. Anxiety, depression, and behavioral disorders remain among the most commonly diagnosed mental health conditions in children. View the CDC children’s mental health data

Veterans face their own challenges. Research involving U.S. veterans continues to show the significant impact of post traumatic stress and other mental health concerns on those who have served.

A 2024 systematic review and meta analysis examining equine assisted services for military veterans found reductions in PTSD symptom scores across the studies reviewed, along with potential benefits involving peer support, social connection, skill development, and bonding. Researchers also noted that more rigorous research is still needed. Read the equine assisted services research

For Bluebird, these numbers reinforce something we see on a more personal level. People sometimes need a different kind of environment in which to slow down, connect, and begin moving forward.

Who We Welcome

Bluebird was created with a special heart for children and veterans, but our doors are open to others who may benefit from the peaceful environment and supportive experiences the ranch provides.

We welcome children age six and older, including children facing trauma, behavioral challenges, emotional struggles, mental health concerns, or difficult seasons in life.

We also have a strong commitment to veterans, including those working through the effects of their military experiences or looking for a place to reconnect with themselves, their families, nature, and a renewed sense of purpose.

Bluebird also welcomes individuals and families who may simply need a place to rebuild confidence, strengthen relationships, find connection, or experience something different from a traditional clinical setting.

Every journey begins with a conversation. Visits and services are by appointment, allowing our team to learn more about each individual before determining the most appropriate next steps.

Those interested in visiting or learning whether Bluebird may be a good fit can contact the ranch here.

Meet the People Behind Bluebird

At the heart of Bluebird Equine Therapeutic Ranch is founder Teah Pearson, MS.

Teah’s vision for Bluebird grew from years of experience in mental and behavioral health and a desire to create something different. With a master’s degree in psychology and years of experience founding and operating a community mental health center, Teah understands both the clinical side of helping people and the importance of creating an environment where people feel safe enough to open up, connect, and grow.

That vision ultimately led to the ranch and the creation of a place where horses, animals, nature, and professional support could come together.

Teah is joined by Ed Green, MSSW, LCSW, Bluebird’s Clinical Director. Ed brings more than 25 years of behavioral health experience to the ranch as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and psychotherapist. His experience working with trauma, anxiety, depression, life transitions, individuals, and families adds an important clinical foundation to Bluebird’s programs.

The team also includes Rev. Cindy Cline, a Bluebird Community Partner and founder of Paws for Hope. Cindy has spent decades serving others in ministry and has a lifelong history of rescuing and caring for animals. Her compassion for both people and animals makes the partnership between Bluebird and Paws for Hope a natural extension of the ranch’s mission.

You can learn more about Teah, Ed, Cindy, and the people helping bring the mission to life on our Meet Our Team page.

Together, the Bluebird team shares a common goal: creating a place where people can feel supported, connected, and hopeful about what comes next.

Our Partnership With Paws for Hope

One of the relationships we are especially excited about is our partnership with Paws for Hope.

Paws for Hope was founded by Rev. Cindy Cline from a lifelong commitment to rescuing, rehabilitating, and caring for dogs. The organization shares Bluebird’s belief that animals can create meaningful connections with people and become part of experiences centered on compassion, trust, and healing.

The partnership opens the door for Bluebird and Paws for Hope to work together on programs that bring the connection between people and animals beyond horses alone.

It also reflects something both organizations believe deeply: animals have an incredible ability to meet people where they are.

Sometimes connection begins with a conversation. Sometimes it begins while grooming a horse, walking through a pasture, spending time with a dog, or simply sitting quietly beside an animal.

Reaching Families Across Texas and Beyond

While Bluebird Equine Therapeutic Ranch is based in Central Texas, our vision reaches much farther.

We welcome inquiries from families, veterans, professionals, organizations, and community partners throughout Texas, including the Houston, Dallas, San Antonio, and Austin areas.

We also welcome inquiries from elsewhere in Texas and across the United States.

Because visits to the ranch are scheduled by appointment, our team can speak with prospective participants before they travel and help determine whether Bluebird may be the right fit for their needs.

We also look forward to connecting with counselors, schools, nonprofit organizations, veterans groups, community leaders, donors, volunteers, and others who share our belief in the importance of creating new opportunities for connection and hope.

A New Website and a Renewed Brand

Bringing the new Bluebird website and brand to life required more than simply changing colors and photographs.

We want to thank Brian Hughes of Zion Marketing Solutions for updating and redesigning our website and for creating the new Bluebird Equine Therapeutic Ranch logo and branding.

The refreshed brand was created to represent the connection between the ranch, horses, hope, nature, and the people we serve. The new website brings those elements together while making it easier for visitors to understand our mission and find the information they need.

Brian also designed the new logo for Paws for Hope, giving our community partner a visual identity of its own while helping create a natural connection between the two organizations.

We appreciate the time and care Zion Marketing Solutions put into helping both organizations develop brands that reflect the work taking place behind them.
